Career Coaching Update
The last day of Summer Coaching ends on August 22, 2025. Summer availability is reserved for current students only (enrolled prior to Fall 2025).
Fall Coaching begins on September 8, 2025. New incoming students can begin coaching in the fall semester. Fall coaching availability will be updated in Handshake at the end of August.
Purpose of Career Coaching
Every student’s career journey is unique. The purpose of career coaching is to provide students with individualized support to address specific concerns and provide tailored resources. Our coaches are equipped to provide guidance and direction to students in a multitude of areas. Coaches can help students:
- Set goals and develop career plans
- Assess career needs and values
- Improve job search strategies
- Review resumes and cover letters
- Develop networking strategies
- Navigate career challenges and pivots
- Practice interview skills
- Identify relevant resources
Who Can Book an Appointment
Coaching appointments with the Graduate Career Center are available for current students of:
- The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS), and
- The School of Continuing Studies (SCS)
Are you a student in another school?

Graduate students in McCourt School of Public Policy, McDonough School of Business, Georgetown Law Center, the Department of Biomedical Graduate Education, and The Walsh School of Foreign Service are served by industry-specific career centers.
